Behind the Scenes

  • Students, with the help of staff, make the broadcasts what they are. They are not only a learning experience, but a way for students to perform in practical real-life situations.

Students who do not want to work in front of the camera help out behind the scenes. Students' responsibilities can range from adjusting a camera for a certain segment, editing the broadcasts and removing uneeded footage, or even producing them so they can be aired on the Streamwood High School TV Network in a professional manner.

The Sabre News Network has also introduced two new computers that are installed with top-of-the-line Adobe® products used by professional movie producers and news stations.

If you are interested in helping out behind the scenes, please see Mr. Sims or Mr. Winters in Room C333. You may also recieve a credit by entering into the Independent Study Program. Students should apply at or before registration for the school year. See Mr. Sims or your guidance counselor for more information!
