Community Partners
Due to the expiration of federal COVID relief funds, our summer school programming that we offered the last few years for elementary and middle school students will not occur this year.
However, two of our community partners, Right at School and Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Illinois, will be offering summer programming, for a fee, at several U-46 elementary schools this summer. Students do not need to attend the specific school at which the programming is being offered.
Registration for both will be available directly through the individual organizations starting March 10, 2025.
The following are descriptions of the programming provided by the organizations.
Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Illinois
For students entering 1st through 6th grade in the 2025-26 school year
The Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Illinois will be offering low-to-no cost summer programming at Laurel Hill Elementary School in Hanover Park and Ridge Circle Elementary School in Streamwood. Registration will begin Monday, March 10, and the application fee will be waived for any families who apply by April 30. The program will be offered Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning June 4 until July 2. The program will include fun field trips, enriching program activities and a culminating field day event. At the Club, we aim for each youth member to have fun in a safe environment, while fostering supportive relationships with staff and peers, introducing youth to unique program opportunities, and recognizing members for their efforts and accomplishments. Right at School
For students entering kindergarten through 6th grade in the 2025-26 school year
The Right at School summer camp will be offered at Wayne Elementary School in Wayne and Spring Trails Elementary School in Carol Stream. RAS Summer Camp empowers families to build the ultimate summer experience: uniquely tailored to your child’s interests and your family’s busy schedule. Each week offers a unique and immersive adventure with flexible options for enrollment (for example: mornings only, afternoons only, select days, or full day care from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.) From deep-sea habitats to distant planets, they will explore it all through hands-on experiments, building challenges, creative projects, team competitions, and more -- all while making fun and friendship our number one priority!
