U-46 will host traditional summer school opportunities in 2025 for current 9th through 12th grade students. These programs will allow students to have the opportunity to take two semesters of summer school courses for credit recovery and/or enrichment.
U-46 will also offer Freshman Connection for incoming 9th grade students and College Jumpstart for students entering 12th grade in the 2025-26 school year.
Summer internships are available to students who are incoming 12th graders. More details on internships can be found here.

Fee: The cost for high school summer school is:
- $200/Semester for in-district students.
- $50/Semester for students with a free lunch waiver.
- $35/Semester for English as a second language student
*Summer school fees must be paid prior to the beginning of the summer school semester.
*Fees are refunded if a semester 1 course is dropped by 12 noon on Friday, May 30th, 2025 and a semester 2 course is dropped by 12 noon on Monday, June 16, 2025. No refund will be issued once the deadline has passed.
Attendance: Students enrolled in summer school are expected to attend school on time every day. Students who are absent for two days per semester will be dropped from the course and will not earn any credit. If a student arrives 30 minutes or more after the start time, it will be recorded as an absence.
Students who earned a failing grade in one or more semesters of a course required for graduation must recover the credit in order to graduate on time (within 4 years of entering high school). High school courses offered for credit recovery or acceleration during the summer are:
