Boys and Girls Club

  • Boys and Girls Club CollageThe Boys & Girls Club of North Central Illinois provides a safe and positive environment where club members can learn, grow, and have fun during critical out-of-school hours. During club hours, members can engage in anything from homework to making a rocket or playing a pick-up game of basketball with a staff member. Programs include career exploration, STEM, leadership, fine arts, and more with a goal to improve academics, socialization, team-building, and social-emotional skills. 

    Club membership is low-to-no cost, with sliding scale fees and free scholarships provided based on household income. Visit bgcelgin.org/register to apply and complete the registration process. Call 847-608-5017 for bilingual enrollment support if needed. 

Elementary Program

  • The Boys & Girls Club Elementary Program is available for students in kindergarten through 6th grade at the following 19 elementary school sites. Schools with an asterisk* offer a morning program beginning at 7 a.m. on school days.

    Elementary students from the following South Elgin elementary schools can participate in before- and after-school care at the South Elgin Boys & Girls Clubhouse (735 Martin Drive) with transportation provided. Hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and then from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The South Elgin Clubhouse also offers FREE Preschool for All Program

Teen Program

  • The Boys and Girls Club of North Central Illinois Teen Program is available for students entering 7th through 12th grade. The Club provides a safe and fun place for teens during out-of-school time to connect with caring, trained professionals and engage in enriching programs.  From sports to the arts, volunteerism to academic pursuits, the Club is here to help your teens discover and live out their skills, passions and potential.  At the Club, we help teens find their voice and plan for the next steps in life.

    There is no fee to participate in the Teen Program. Teens are encouraged to come as frequently as they choose to meet with their friends and find opportunities they wouldn’t get anywhere else. 

    Elgin
    Elgin middle and high school students enrolled at the following schools can participate at the Elgin Clubhouse, 355 E. Dundee Ave., which is offered from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday with transportation provided.

    Kenyon Woods
    Students enrolled at Kenyon Woods Middle School can participate at the South Elgin Clubhouse, 735 Martin Drive, which is offered from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday with transportation provided. 

    Streamwood
    Streamwood secondary students enrolled at the following schools are served on their respective campuses from dismissal to 6:00 P.M., with close-to-home evening transportation provided for eligible riders:

    • Tefft Middle School
