Chorus is open to any 4th, 5th, or 6th grade student who wants to sing and have fun.  Rehearsals will take place after school on Wednesdays from 2:40-3:30.  Parents are responsible for their child’s own transportation from school at that time.  

While in chorus, students will continue to develop singing skills, connect music to other areas of interest, learn concert etiquette, and how to be part of an ensemble.  

If your child belongs to chorus, attendance at rehearsal is mandatory. If there is a reasonable excuse that he/she does not attend a rehearsal (i.e., sickness, death in the family, vacation), please write me a note explaining the absence. If your student misses more than two rehearsals, he/she may be dismissed from the chorus or not be allowed to perform. Performances are also mandatory. Chorus typically performs at the East Side Choral Festival and at the Spring Sing.

Please sign and detach the permission slip sent home if your child wishes to join the chorus. Your child will not be allowed to stay until it is returned.
