Kindergarten at Coleman is fortunate to get 30 minutes of music each week! Title I funds have allowed for that.

An overview of the concepts we focus on in Kindergarten Music:

• Steady beat
• Long and short sounds (rhythm)
• High and low sounds (pitch)
• Same and different sections of music (form)
• Four types of voices- sing, speak, call, whisper (timbre)
• Loud and quiet sounds (dynamics)
• Fast and slow sounds (tempo)
