Ms. Sandra Flor-Vasquez

Ms. Sandra Flor-Vazquez is serving in her first year as the principal of Hanover Countryside Elementary School beginning with the 2024-25 school year. 

Ms. Flor-Vazquez joined U-46 in 2012 as a teacher at Creekside Elementary School. She then served as the assistant principal at Ontarioville Elementary School for the 2018-19 school year. In 2019, she moved to Glenbrook Elementary School as the assistant principal where she played a crucial role in curriculum planning, professional development, and fostering a safe and effective learning environment. 

Her educational philosophy is centered around the belief that an outstanding teacher not only sets positive, realistic expectations but also creates engaging and inclusive learning opportunities. As a school administrator, Ms. Flor-Vazquez is committed to being accessible, leading by example, and ensuring every decision is made with the best interests of the students, staff, and community in mind. She brings a strong advocacy for integrating technology into education.

Ms. Flor-Vazquez earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications from Colombia College, and her master’s degree in education from Concordia University Chicago in River Forest. She holds an ESL/Bilingual Certification from the NIU/AU Cohort-Aurora.
