My name is Basilisa Gómez. This is my 9th year at Channing Elementary. I received my teaching license and ESL endorsement through National Louis, my master’s degree, and Type 75 General Administrative through Argosy University. I continue taking classes through Roosevelt University. I have worked my entire teaching career here at Channing Elementary; one year in Kindergarten, four years in first grade, and four years in third grade. I am so lucky to be part of an amazing team here at Channing. I love my job and believe so strongly in the power of education. My goal is to help my students reach their fullest potential. On a personal note, I enjoy traveling and look forward to visiting foreign countries to learn about different cultures.
