Your involvement in your child's education is extremely important and we hope to see and hear from you often while you're part of the Century Oaks community.
OPTIONS for Involvement
School Improvement Leadership Team (1-2 Parents) Contribute to the development and implementation of the School Improvement Plan. With your input we can incorporate parents’ expectations of the school, understand the students’ needs from the parents’ perspective, and solicit parent expertise in problem-solving. This team meets at 2:30 PM the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
Universal/ Tier One Team (1-2 Parents) Develop and monitor school-wide core instruction, including climate, culture and school-wide Positive Behavioral Intervention System (PBIS) program. The team plans the implementation of these programs, looks at data, determines required school plans, including celebrations and events to support a positive school climate. Team meets at 2:30 PM the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
U-46 Citizen’s Advisory Council (up to 5 parents): The Citizen’s Advisory Council is a districtwide group of parents and community members who study and explore topics of interest to the district community and suggest ways to improve the school district. This group meets at Elgin High School the second Thursday of each month.
